Original TXMUD Sam Houston National Forest trail-page banner

What the old page remembered.

The old New Waverly page described a multiple-use ORV trail system and east- and west-side trailheads. It reminded riders to read the trailhead bulletin boards and obtain information from the Sam Houston Ranger District.

This is a summary of the recovered page. It does not establish today’s trail conditions, facilities or permitted vehicles.

The place today.

TPWD still lists Sam Houston’s Multiple-Use Trail as a Texas OHV venue. This does not mean the trails are open today: check Forest Service trail status before traveling.

Present-day identity checked 2026-10-22. A current listing is not confirmation that a destination is open on your travel date.

Where this came from.

Recovered from txmud.com/mainwebsite_html/trails/et/samhouston.html in the owner’s Texas Mud Backup archive. The original banner was stored with the page. Its snapshot date is unknown.

Historical material only. Do not use the old page’s fees, hours, phone numbers, event dates, maps or safety statements as current riding guidance.
